Un viaggio navigando in un mare di smeraldo, tra piccole e grandi insenature dalla sabbia bianchissima… Questa è la Sardegna, un’isola che stupisce il visitatore per i suoi contrasti naturali, luci e colori di un paese di antichissime tradizioni, immerso in una natura selvaggia e incontaminata.
Situata al centro del Mediterraneo, con un territorio prevalentemente montuoso privo di alte vette, la Sardegna regala al visitatore un ambiente naturale unico, nello stesso tempo aspro e dolcissimo. L’uomo, infatti, è in certe zone quasi una rara presenza; vaste superfici sono rimaste magicamente intatte, abitate da cervi, cavalli selvatici, e grandi rapaci, ricche di boschi rigogliosi con alberi anche millenari, piccole zone desertiche e stagni.
Il mare regna incontrastato con i suoi colori e si insinua nelle calette tortuose, lungo le coste, le spiagge, nelle località più frequentate. La costa Smeralda con la sua perla, Porto Cervo, ne è un esempio, che unisce la storia e la cultura di una regione con tradizioni antiche ad una vita notturna allegra e colorata. Il suo Porto Vecchio è considerato il più attrezzato porto turistico del Mediterraneo. Porto Rotondo è una località anch’essa rinomata; affacciata sull’ampio Golfo di Cugnana, è popolata da ville e piazzette incastonate in una magnifica natura.
Chi al mare preferisce la montagna potrà andare alla scoperta della regione del Gennargentu, il più vasto complesso montano della Sardegna, con i suoi pittorici scenari dove uomo e natura si sono integrati, lasciando a quest’ultima un posto di primo piano. Molto ricca la flora e la fauna con i suoi mufloni, aquile reali, cervi sardi e varie specie ormai sull’orlo dell’estinzione.
Tra le sue meraviglie, la Sardegna offre al visitatore i complessi nuragici sparsi su tutto il territorio, monumenti unici al mondo che testimoniano una cultura antica e ancora in parte misteriosa che va dal XV al VI secolo a C. I Nuraghi – costruiti con grandi blocchi di pietra – si sviluppavano intorno ad una torre centrale a forma di tronco di cono che trasmette solidità e potenza. Si tratta di siti archeologici dove si possono ancora cogliere i segni di antiche ritualità e di vita domestica dal fascino arcaico. Tra i tanti, il complesso di Barumini in provincia di Cagliari è nella lista del patrimonio mondiale Unesco.

Situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, Sardinia is a mainly mountainous region, without high peaks, with a vast and charming, yet bittersweet, natural environment. In fact, the presence of man does not seem to affect this territory; great surfaces still preserve their natural composition, luxuriant woods with even millenary trees, small desert areas and marshes inhabited by deer, wild horses and rapacious birds.
The sea reigns over this region with its colours and it creeps into the coves, along the coasts, the beaches and the most popular resorts. An example is the Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast) with its pearl, Porto Cervo, that combines the history and culture of a region that has old traditions with a joyful and colourful nightlife. Porto Cervo was named after its enchanting cove, which looks like the antlers of a deer; the Old Port is considered the best-equipped tourist port in the Mediterranean Sea. Porto Rotondo is also a famous location; it overlooks the wide Gulf of Cugnana and is full of villas and piazzas embedded in a splendid natural environment.
Those who prefer the mountain to the sea can explore the area of Gennargentu, the greatest mountain range in Sardinia, with its peculiar landscape, where Man and Nature joined one another and decided that the latter should have the priority. This region is rich in flora and fauna, with its mouflons, golden eagles, Sardinian deer and several species that are now threatened with extinction.
Among its wonders, Sardinia offers the visitor the Nuragic complexes scattered all over the territory. These are unique monuments in the world that testify an ancient culture, that remains partly mysterious, and that went from the fifteenth century to the sixteenth BC. The Nuragic constructions were built using great blocks of stone and develop around a central cone-shaped tower that transmits strength and power. These are archaeological sites where it is possible to grasp the archaic charm of ancient rituals and domestic life. Of these many constructions, the complex of Barumini, in the province of Cagliari, is among the sites in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Das mit seinen schillernden Farben dominierende Meer ergießt sich in Meerbusen und Buchten und brandet an traumhaften Stränden. Die Costa Smeralda mit Porto Cervo ist ein Beispiel dafür. Hier vereinen sich die lieblichen Farbtöne des Meeres mit Geschichte, Kultur und den alten Traditionen der Region und einem lebhaften, lustigen Nachtleben. Porto Cervo hat seinen Namen seiner geweihförmigen Bucht zu verdanken; sein alter Hafen ist der modernste Touristenhafen des Mittelmeeres. Ein ebenso renommierter Ort ist auch Porto Rotondo mit Blick auf den weiten Golf von Cugnana und übersät mit Villen und malerischen Plätzen, umgeben von einer wundervollen Natur.
Wer seine Freizeit lieber in den Bergen verbringt, kommt bei einer Entdeckungstour der Gegend des Gennargentu, des größten Gebirgszugs Sardiniens, garantiert auf seine Kosten. Mit malerischen Szenarien, in denen Mensch und Natur vollkommen harmonieren und die Natur den Lebensrhythmus bestimmt. Das Gebiet besitzt eine beeindruckende Artenvielfalt, zu der neben Mufflons, Steinadlern und sardischen Hirschen auch einige vom Aussterben bedrohte Arten zählen.
